Are accounts with zero posts scams?
Hi. I have a watch for sale. I get frequent inquiries from users with zero posts. Their accounts are anywhere from 0-2 years old.
A lot of them offer trades, or trades + cash. Curious if others have experience with this, and if it is a big red flag. I will only accept payment by wire, but even still, I don't know if someone could create trouble post transaction. Thank you. |

It would be a risky transaction IMHO.
The trade offers could easily be stolen watches that you’d never have a way to vet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I'd steer clear.
Same goes for old hibernation accounts that suddenly come back after a few years of no participation. Reason is, they're very easy targets for phishing scams and scammers look for old dormant accounts... Old member gets an email. Figures it might be important. Clicks, then goes away. Damage done. |

I’d have to agree with all of the above.

I did several deals in the past with zero post members but the deal was always conducted on my terms.... no issues... the scammers usually back down when you are upfront about your terms

I have sold several watches as well as accessories to accounts with 0 posts but I did my due diligence first, gave them my terms and my terms only and if they agreed then the transaction went forward. Have never had an issue. All I can say is proceed with caution and let them know that its your terms or no transaction. If they want to trade then they must send their watch first for inspection and funds must be cleared until your watch goes out.

I’ve done deals with zero post members, some people only register to see and communicate about for-sale items.
As always, use your brain when dealing with strangers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
