Panerai Deployment Clasp?

Are Panerai deployment clasps comfortable, and worth the money?

I have a PAM 927, 42mm with a strap 22/18mm.
Given that the straps for this particular watch has an integrated quick release system, I figured I'll buy directly from Panerai, but when researching their deployment clasps, they run $410 (twice the cost of an OEM strap) and wonder if the deployment clasp was worth it, or if there are other known alternatives?

I looked on Ebay but didnt find any OEM clasp that would fit the 18mm end, and came up short on the Paneristi forum accessory marketplace.

i have a 676 (which also uses a 22mm/18mm strap) - and currently use the deployant from here, which is quite well regarded across different forums:

it's secure and well-made. maybe not as cheap as some of the ebay stuff (where the QC is often a bit questionable), but they're good enough to be OEM. i probably have 5 or 6 of them, in all different sizes.

Thanks for the link, looks like it'll do the job!

I think it’s Awesome!!!

Almost got one, but in the boutique I was about to buy it, they warned me it won’t fit in thick straps....
Don’t know if it was just that particular 22mm piece or how thick of a strap would it handle.

the particular one that I had provided a link for does work with thick straps (though the oem 22/18 straps tend to be on the thin side to begin with, with minimal padding compared to Panerai's other oem choices)

For what it's worth I've got a deployant clasp on my 273 and find it quite uncomfortable on my small wrist. I'd much prefer a tang buckle.
