Philly/South Jersey Get Together - Pt. 2

I made two attempts to post on the other thread, but my post did not come up despite the fact my name registered next to the thread. Whatever?!

First, thank you so much for the nice PMs. I'd like to respond to a few of them.

Jack,

It doesn't matter whether you've ever posted on this forum. You are a registered member and have a desire to join us and that is all you need. While I recognize that Allentown is quite a distance away, I think you will have a terrific time and hope you can make it on April 4th.

sgt (Bob),

Posting in triplicate will not buy you three reservations, you are only entitled to one.

Dan (Uncle Sallie),

You, too, have quite a haul coming from York/Harrisburg. Hopefully, your love of Rolexes (your "WISNESS") will propel you all the way to Philadelphia so we can enjoy your company as we look at even more Rolexes!

Oh, before I forget . . . When people are posting or sending pms, they start out, Taffi? Faith? Just so you know, Taffi is my dog, I am Faith (although I answer to either).

I want to thank everyone again for their help and support in planning this. If anyone can pull this off, it's we Pennsylvanians! Who knows? Perhaps if things go well, this could be the beginning of an annual event?!

best,
Dan

I have been to Morton's a few times for dinner. Great food, but quite expensive. What are the plans for ordering food and drinks? How about we order appetizers and a few drinks to keep the bill in check?

There are no plans for ordering food. People will order what they want. If you feel appetizers and a few drinks work best with your budget, that's what you should order. I hardly think it's fair to say to others that they can only order appetizers. It would be equally unfair to say to you that you must order lunch. The main thing here is not the food, it's the event and the company. No matter what you eat, you're still a part of our group.
