Icon7 Red Yacht Master 18K help

I bought on ebay a Red Yacht Master 18K which sellers says is 1995. He says the reference number is 69629. Could any one kindly help me to have a look whether it is a real Rolex?
Your help is really really really appreciated.

You bought an 18 karat gold watch and now you are asking if it is genuine? If you paid $250 I can give you an answer.

Ask before you buy.
The date wheel font looks way off.

I have not paid yet, the ending price is 3150 GBP, is it a reasonable price?

Did the ad say it is "100% genuine Rolex" or equivalent? If so, I would tell the seller you learned that (at least) the date wheel is non-Rolex and, therefore, the watch is not actually 100% genuine. Based on that, you can request to kill the deal.

By the way, I always look for such a warranty before I buy something like this online (which is rare). That way, you can argue that you made the purchase based at least in part upon false information provided by the seller. If the ad does not say it, I message the seller to ask them so I have it in writing, just in case.

Are we sure that's not just a lady's 69628 which needs corrective work to the date mechanism?

I think the issue is that the date wheel is definitely non-genuine. That raises questions as to the authenticity of other aspects of the watch. If someone isn't even willing to pay up for a genuine Rolex date wheel, which wouldn't be all that expensive, that isn't a good sign.

This is why buying online from someone you don't know is so risky. I considered buying several watches off of Chrono24. When I really inspected them closely, however, I found issues with 90% of them. So, I wasted many many hours for nothing. You need to be EXTREMELY careful and it's best to have an expert inspect the watch before accepting it. When I have purchased online, I made sure there is an inspection period and I have the seller send the watch directly to my local watchmaker to have them give everything a quick look over. I only accept the watch after they indicate that everything is genuine and correct. Caveat emptor!

Way too cheap for men’s....if real I’m going with women’s watch also...if the 14 on the strap means 14mm it’s def woman’s watch

My first thought was this is a TINY watch, look at the crown. 14mm lugs means Haywood's correct IMO

Shouldn’t worry too much about the authenticity of the watch. The date mechanism is definitely broken as stated but the font is correct...see pics. Cheapest 69628 in Europe is currently 6750 GBP on Chrono24 but it’s with a bracelet. I think it’s pretty hard to source a used bracelet that will fit that model and it will probably set you back about 3000 GBP if you find one in decent condition...
