Full WG SkyD with blue dial?

I came across this on Chrono24, it’s a brand new full WG SkyD with blue dial.

It’s usd45k and according to the description, the case and bracelet are full white gold.

I didn’t know the Blue SkyD came in Full WG and can’t find it anywhere online.

Anyone?

Been discussed here a few times. They were in the market as early as 2017.

Looks correct. IMO the stainless model has better proportions and would be the one to buy even with the rarity of the WG model.

Good buying at 45k USD. Very rare and totally next level heavy hitter.

Michael Jordan rocks one from time to time.

I don’t want to insult people who love white gold but wouldn’t a SS/WG Bezel Sky D blue dial have an almost identical look for a whole lot less money?

Found this on reddit:

“At Baselworld 2017, Rolex debuted the new steel and two-tone Sky-Dwellers. At the same time, they changed all the dials to stick dials across the Sky-Dweller line. No more Arabic or Roman numerals. The white dials also got whiter (less eggshell/cream) and the black dials got black 24h rings instead of white. By Baselworld 2018, the 326939 was gone, so stick dials on white gold Sky-Dwellers had a very short lifespan.”

I suppose look is different from feel.

As a WG nut, the feel is what i really like.

I wear a watch for myself anyway and not for others.

Similar look yes, Although WG has a much richer, warm hue to the metal whereas SS is brighter, more stark. It is evident when you see them side by side. Different feel on the wrist for sure due to weight.

I actually would prefer the SS to the WG due to the weight issue. I realize that many here love the heft of PM, but I’m the opposite and prefer lighter wearing watches for comfort. YMMV.

Funny now, when looking back at my high school ring it too, is White Gold!

Once I have a good fitting watch on my arm, the weight kinda disappears?

There was a brief period when you could get hash mark and white gold. It’s in rotation with my SS SkyD. Both white dial by choice

Its one of those things that "if you know you know" kind of things.

Most buyers of WG are wealthy but dont like to flash it. They buy it for their own enjoyment not to "show off" per se.

Just over a year ago in January I was at a boutique where they had received a set of these, one blue, one black.

OP, these models are definitely real. I believe that Rolex discontinued them a little while ago but I tried one on a year ago in Miami.

Tried on a white dial WG Skydweller at the Dubai Mall AD in July 2019. Stunning watch. Was offered 15% discount, but still came in at £33k, plus the risk of taxes entering the UK, so passed...

I totally get that, I have bought SS watches to wear for that reason but I think the explanation of the warmer hues and also the feel of it are the best answers for me and I appreciate that. BTW, I show my YG Daytona on my profile here but I've only worn it out when it didn't show from beneath my coat or shirt sleeve. Probably should buy the WG version...
