Gaining time

Should I assume that my watch gaining 10 minutes a week is wildly unacceptable? What would cause such a large gain? Microstella adjustment would be my only guess. Watch was recently serviced but with everything being closed I can’t warranty it right now. Am I doing any harm wearing it while running so fast?

The only reason i know for watches to run fast is magnetism. Find yourself a watchgrapher and check it.

pim have pointed out that there’s a possibility that your watch has been magnetized, which seems like a viable cause... typically a magnetized watch will gain 5-10 minutes a day so at a deviation of at around a minute per day doesn’t seem like it..

Was the watch working fine when you sent it in for service? If so, this is the reason why so many believe time intervals mean nothing for service and only send a watch in when it stops working correctly. They can come back from service with issues. Rare, but it happens.

Was it working perfectly before the servicing? Else send it back to see if there is any alteration....magnetism can also have such effect on it.
