“Discover the new Luminor experience” - April 25
Panerai has announced that at noon CET on April 25, we can “Discover the new Luminor experience”.
Maybe a reference to product announcement? |

I don't want to spoil the fun but there have been leaks ... Well from what I saw it's lots of Lume gimmics ... :) Official photos always look better than leaked ones so let's wait ..

Much more to it than just some additional lume. Saturday should be fun.

I’ve seen three new pieces. Unsure if all will be revealed Saturday, or if it’ll strictly be a luminor event. I suspect we’ll get them all with an obvious focus on luminor.

And here we go.... the “disco trio”.... 270 of each.
1117 - Titanium - $18,900 1118 - Carbotech - $16,000 (why cheaper?) 1119 - Fibratech - $18,900 Can you imagine WW2 commandos with lume strips?? The 70-year warranty and Fibratech seem interesting. The price, less so. |

a lot of gimmicks and a little silly looking with the glowing stitching. The lumed crown/guard dial ring & dial text was enough. prices are a little silly too.

Well when Disney releases ''Tron 2'' I know what watch the actors will be wearing...
I like the new case materials, but if this is the direction Panerai's new CEO is taking I don't see him lasting very long. Some of these releases have ''jumped the shark.'' So sad - ETA - Have to say the blue dial on the new 1663 is out of this world. Nobody does blue like Panerai. |

Hey, its innovation, style innovation. Now they just need to find a way to make the lume glow full torch, constantly, all night. I've thought some type of chemical that's powered, not by battery of course, but by movement. Maybe I should have patented this idea? No, just build the watch so I can buy it!

Reminds me a that horrible neon car fad from the 90s.
Also can’t help but be reminded that combat divers from the 60s needed to tape over the crystals of their watches the old lume shone so brightly. This is about as far away from military dive watch DNA as you can get from a functionality standpoint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
