Help: would you upgrade

Hi all. Would love some advice. I have a 25860 white face and am considering upgrading to the 26315 grey face. Of course there is some cash going into the deal, but what are your thoughts on the two compared to each other?

Thanks!

25860 (39mm) is the best size for most people but it was old model, not too long you will need a maintenance service. Is the white/silver color of 25860 as beautiful as 15400? If it is, I think it looks gorgeous too.

Color is personal preference, I think both colors look good to me.

26315 is later model and looks gorgeous. I think it might be more excited to have a new timepiece, go for it.

I’d wait til they put the in-house movement in the ROC. Hence why I didn’t update my 26320 with the 331

I think this one has a flat white not silver white of 15400/15500 but i might be mistaken. I think the gray upgrade option looks amazing.

Tough call because the differences are minor. 1mm case size, slightly different date window placement, and color scheme. So I'd think it would be mainly to change dial colors and get a new watch with warranty

I recently made that move. I loved the 25860 but the upgraded clasp and 38mm size better fit for me. See recent incoming post. Also like the hands/hour markers on the new one better than the white ones (on my previous blue dial)

I had a white 26300 which is pretty much the same watch and I sold it because i found the dial a bit plain and dull. I'd take the grey over the white.

I can only say that I love the 26315, both the gray and the blue subdial. If that's what your heart says, I say do it!

Thanks guys! That’s really helpful. Yes, it’s true, the 25860 does have the more flat white dial. There is a slight iridescence to it, but not the beautiful silver/white dial in the newer models. I am curious about the bracelet from those who also made the switch. I have heard it is narrow, especially at the clasp. How does the width compare the that of the 25860/26300? I am also a little nervous about the somewhat monochromatic look of the watch with the grey dial (steel watch, bezel, face). Thoughts?

Thank you!

If possible, I'd see the watch in the flesh before you pull the trigger. I think the grey dial is very dependent on lighting. In the right lighting, this watch pops beautifully. In drab lighting, it does come off as monochromatic.

I think the one good thing is the versatility of the grey dial, over the blue sub-dial. You can very easily dress it up, go business casual, or totally casual with jeans. I think the blue sub-dial is a bit less versatile.

Personally I don't consider that an 'upgrade'. IMO the 38mm feels wrongly proportioned compared to the 39mm, and I don't like the narrower bracelet, and visually the placement of the date window looks mis-aligned to me.

Right. Part of my confusion is the bracelet size. Can anyone confirm if it is the same bracelet that you find on the 15450? I’ve read conflicting reports. If so, it is 23mm at the case (25860 and 26331 are 26mm). They all taper to 16mm at the clasp, but I’m worried that it might look a little narrow at the watch? I have a 6.25” wrist. Any thoughts?

Do you know if that’s going to happen anytime soon?
