My "new" GMT thanks to Springer and Ridley
So I saw a 16750 with the jubilee bracelet and decided that it was time to find one. I love the oyster but the watch needed a refresh after 35 years of the same look. To cut to the chase I reached out to Springer to see if had one on hand, unfortunately not at the time. A few hours later he sends me a note that a watchmaker who he has worked with for years has exactly what I need. So I am led to Phillip Ridley, who has not only what I want but almost spot on with the same date of manufacture of my watch. Better yet he has just moved to Phoenix. It gets weirder, I stop by and he realizes he also has tritium hands for my watch. I had Rolex luminova service hands from a service 20 years ago. If Vegas was a bit safer I would be on my way. So this site just truly delivers, what a journey. My thanks to Springer for knowing everybody related to vintage Rolex and to Phillip who I would strongly recommend if you need a watch serviced. IMO it looks brillant. Cheers.
