I'll take that one step further and for me it even varies based on the watch. I wear my Dive watches above my wrist bone. My others such as my Daytona looser and below. Part of it has to do with GlideLock on my Rolex divers and the rest has to do with the case back shape. None really have anything to do with the smallest part of my wrist. If you size your watch to the smallest part of your wrist, then it won't be very comfy since you won't be able to move it or adjust. OP is wearing an 116600....I am not shocked he found the most comfy place above the wrist bone
