If you had purchased it brand new many years back, it could, due to wear and tear and multiple services and polishes, be in exactly the same condition today.
Enjoy it; that 16610 is a fine watch and not badly reworked.

Polished, yes. Aggressively, maybe.
Still looks good to me, and the lugs were asymmetric to begin with. I wouldn’t give it a second thought unless they were advertising it as like new, or never polished. It may be the lighting, but I’m not sure it was correctly finished. That might be worth having someone do for you.

It might be a problem for a Rolex but I wished I got smoother and thinner the older I got!

yes its badly polished, take it to rolex and have them redo it, and bring it back to orginal elements, bad watch makers are scum and should never accept a watch if they dont know what they doing, they have no respect for the art and excist nly to ruin watches so they can make a100-200$ without earning it, as they have to taken the time to reach a level of training to do so

This thread is 7 months old people, and the OP is long gone. This Forum cracks me up with the Pavlovian conditioning. Nobody cares to figure out what they’re responding to......it’s just read the OP and post...

I don't understand the obsession with not polishing. I have a 1966 Oyster perpetual that looks like a new watch that I got from Bob's watches. But when you inspect the bezel closely you can see where lots of nicks have been polished out over the years. Love this watch!

Looks poorly polished not over polished. Just needs someone to give it the right lines.
