For those with mods (especially this one - dial from WG in SS model), have you serviced at RSC?

I called both Beverly Hills and Dallas and they both said they would not service unless changing back to original configuration. Although, initially they didn't know and had to put me on hold and ask someone.

Rolex will not change the dial that is on a Daytona to another dial from another series. They are very fierce when it comes to this type of thing. They will exchange your dial for the same dial, which would entail a service as well, but not for a different dial from a different series. Anyone who has done this has A) Done it through an outside source, and B) Voided the Rolex warranty. If neither of those matter, have at it. Lots of folks do Mods on their pieces and have no problems, but cannot have their watch serviced at Rolex as their warranty is now void...

Hello all, first of all great thread!

I'm about to purchase a vintage 16014 Datejust with a Buckley dial but however noticed that it has a YG Coronet that seemed like it was swapped from a two tone Datejust instead of for the SS model.

So even though if it's original but swapped, it is my understanding from above that RSC would service the watch if needed right?

They will never change to a dial or hands that was never available on that reference.

If however you are asking to change to a dial/hands that is available on that EXACT same reference YES they will do it.
