Don't sell your Rolexes
I know it's the advice everyone's already heard. But yeah for the past few months I've been missing my polar Explorer ii I sold last year. I miss it more than my 16710 coke I also sold.
As it goes, I even sold it for more than I paid. And if I want it back I'll pay more yet again Think twice my friends and don't pay sellers remorse tax! |

100% truth here. I’ve never sold a Rolex that I didn’t regret selling at some point.

It seems that sellers remorse is “learning the hard way” for WIS...it definitely gives us insight into the watches we really care about!

I too learned the hard way selling my Kermit from early 2004 in 2015 for a JC DSSD. I really love and prefer the D Blue but I’ll never sell another Rolex...

Well the concept of not ever selling a Rolex you purchase is good as long as those pieces you purchased you like them enough to hold them forever and have the economic means to buy others (if you want to add something different).
In my case have flipped many watches (some Rolexes, but mainly other brands) and have done it because wanted to try different pieces and don’t have the desire (or the means) to just keep adding to the collection. There are a couple have regret selling, but nothing that could not be replaced Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I don’t regret much. If I sell, I have a good reason to sell. I had 2 Hulks at one point because I loved them so much. Eventually I got tired of the green. I don’t miss it.

I sold my first Rolex which was a 2 tone submariner just because I was under the impression that you should have either full steel or full gold regretting since that day.

There are a lot more seller's remorse stories on this board than buyer's remorse stories and that should be a warning to all.

I’ll keep all mine until the two minute warning or as long as I can continue to wear and enjoy.

I own two Rolex Watches and both were purchased to mark a significant event in my life. I guess a number of Rolex watches were purchased for reasons like mine. Those two watches will stay with me until I depart this earth. I have a 16750 that I have owned for 38 + years and an 116660 I purchased new 3 years ago. I believe if I sold one I definitely would have sellers remorse.

I agree completely. Seller's remorse can last a lifetime.
That polar shot is an absolute gem. |

I couldn't ever sell my 14060, my only Rolex. Been with me too long, too many memories, good and bad, are attached to it. Anyway, I love it and its jingly-jangly bracelet far too much!

yep, yep, yep, just went through this. sold a DJ41 (126334) cause I thought i was bored with it; well that lasted less than 6-mos; was fortunate / lucky enough to find a new one and paid the "sellers remorse tax". happy now, my BLNR missed his DJ brother.

I feel your pain on this...I’ve sold a few Rolex and Tudor I wish I hadn’t!
I’m also not buying any more Rolex these days. I like what I have and nothing on the market interests me enough to chase. I’ve bought Seiko, GS, Omega, Tudor, and Panerai over the last year or so, along with a few vintage Rolex, and those ones are keeping me entertained. The GS I bought has me pretty focused on their offerings these days. |
