Really that’s interesting. Maybe it’s just a case of never being content then lol.

I think some have to go to fund the RG 5711 really especially if I don’t wear them.
Sounds like a good plan. I just acquired the white SS SkD as well...love it!

I like that, all the PM colours covered in three individually amazing watches. This is what I hope to be able to be comfortable with I actually feel there’s too much choice at the moment. Envy you!

Stay strong! Few on this forum seem able to limit to one watch. It is impressive that you have.

I have never seen a Platona in person, but the photos that you and others have posted are wonderful.

That's unfortunate. I've always enjoyed your posts and pics of the Platinum Daytona.

I recently sold 2 PM watches. Initially it was to fund another watch but I'm holding off for now. I still have my DD RG Olive and the YG Daytona PN dial. I do still enjoy my SS watches

I sold off all my steel and now have just a DD36 YG, RG Yacht Master and Daytona 116505. I’m also considering the RG 5711, what a beautiful watch. Got to try one on a few months ago and instantly fell in love.

Thank you. I saw it on a magazine cover around 1999 or 2000 and had to have it. I’ve had it for 20 years.

IMHO I don't think I would I think steel has in the past out paced gold. I could see a value bet and consequent jump in PM though.

Hang in there Lee.

My negative comment would be I can't imagine anyone having a problem with any of our watches.

A PM only collection with a few steels is not PM only. Does anyone actually have a PM ONLY collection? Just curious, I think all metals are great! It’s all good!

Yes, PM ruined steel for me. Everyone likes something different in their watches and I’ve always loved collecting rare/interesting materials. That’s what’s draws me to the watches. I also love rare dial materials like meteorite, wood, stone etc. What the components are made of is probably my biggest factor in what stays in my collection now.

Its quite simple - I think threads like this only come down to 1 thing and its $$$$

There will always be ppl saying nah I cant do PM only but trust me if you could afford all WG pieces instead of SS it would go that way 100%.

I used to be one of "those" guys bagging out PM but in reality it was because I was broke AF back then. LOL

Some really great watches posted. Here’s my PM only. I do have one SS, which is a Polar Explorer.

I'll find the link for you man when I get home. Its a nice wooden box with very nice cushions and lining.

Not that expensive as well around $120 AUD so even cheaper in USD. Much much better than some of those ones selling for $300+ with foam internals.
