Date of clasp code on 62510h bracelet
The below is a photo of the back of the clasp on a 999.... serial 16014 datejust.
Is someone able to confirm the date of the bracelet and whether it would be the original? Thanks |

From lists I’ve seen, Clasp code is August 1978
999 case is 1964-ish if 6-digits; 1986-87 if 7-digits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

It appears strange that there is a “C” dated clasp on a watch with a 1987 serial number (meaning the clasp is 10 years older than the watch) but I guess it was likely replaced with an older clasp at some point. |

Now that is a very different question. Would like to see some pics of the outside of clasp including the coronet up close. Your codes don’t appear on any of the relics databases but that isn’t the same as saying it is genuine. Springer may be along soon and can opine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Can’t see anything wrong there.
Are those oval links or they flat on the bottom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Flat links. I think the clasp may be older than the bracelet. The bracelet appears to match the date of the watch, while the clasp (based on the date code) is older.
