Polar or black Explorer 2 most in demand?

I'm sure this has been done to death, but I happened to be passing a grey dealer yesterday and I popped in just to be nosey and see what was on the shelf.

In a general discussion about what was hot or not, the assistant mentioned the Explorer 2 and that he had to pay more for the black dial version and they were more in demand.

First time I've heard that, I'd have thought the polar was the hot one, but to be honest I've never asked the question before, so for all I know it might be true.

Prices would indicate polar and that seems to be consistent amongst greys online.

(iii) TRF IS NOT A SHOPPING SERVICE TO AVERTISE GREY MARKET PRICES, OR LINKS TO GREY MARKET PRICES SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK WHERE OR WHO YOU CAN BUY SUCH AND SUCH A WATCH FROM, WHICH AD OR PERSON TO SHOP AT, OR THAT YOU WANT SOMEBODY TO GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU FOR YOUR DESIRES. IF YOU WANT TO BUY OR ARE LOOKING FOR A PARTICULAR WATCH OR ACCESSORY USE THE "WANTED TO BUY" BOARD ONCE YOU HAVE MET THE FORUM REQUIREMENTS.
