E- Boutique Purchase

Has anyone used the E- Boutique to purchase from Panerai?

They are bringing in some PAM 01314’s and I would like to pick one up but this system is new to me and I have never bought a new panerai.

A couple questions-

- Do they charge sales tax?
- Are prices negotiable or is it strictly MSRP?

Thanks!

What this smart man said. I just used the service for a 1055. No issues to report and watch came with all the bells and whistles. But, as noted, there is no negotiation.

Do you have a boutique nearby? I would buy from an AD or boutique, there’s always a bit of negotiation there or at the minimum a few free straps. The only reason to buy online would be for a limited edition that is only sold online.

I’ve bought a strap from the e-boutique and had to pay for taxes and shipping.

The experience was fine, though they aren’t a full service provider — for example, when I followed up for an extra strap minder or spring bars for the strap, they said I should contact an AD. Maybe they’re still working on the experience; I gotta say the packaging was very nice.

As for the 1314, I’d suggest checking in with a trusted seller, like davidsw. They might be able to source one with a discount and w/o taxes. That’s how I got my Panerai, which is a boutique variant.

you can call in instead of writing email and waiting for reply.

Sales tax does apply, it goes with the tax rate of the delivery zip code. E-boutique does allow shipping to another city with lower sales tax rate and you retrieve it afterwards yourself, u know what that means.

But like others said, might be better if you hit up a local boutique, you never know the kind of discount that might be had there.
