what do people think of "ball watches"?

i've always wanted to get a watch with tritium gas tubes on dial, but noticed that there are only few brands that use them.

what do you think of "ball watches"? im eyeing on this limited edition with rainbow-colored tubes. think its worth the retail price?(pre-order price)

I own three Ball watches. They are fantastic watches and area great value for the money. Personally, I'm not a fan of the rainbow tritium dial, but if that's what you like you should feel confident in the quality of the watch.

I use to own the Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Spacemaster Orbital 2 GMT Chronograph a mouthful watch and a monster on wrist. I sold it to fund another piece and build my colleczione from ground up. But theyre a good brand and I love their older model because it it true to their own design compared nowadays.

I owned a Aero Engineer Hydrocarbon GMT. Great watch, very accurate, exuded quality, super easy to read, and gotta love the lume.

I could not get on with the bracelet though due to the sharp edges at the bottom of the case, and the only way I could wear it comfortably was on a BC rubber nato.

All in all a nice watch but eventually sold it to finance the Tudor GMT which has become my favorite watch.

I like the watches, Tritium is a nice feature, just know that in time the tunes start to dim, not really a lifetime feature, not sure how Ball handles that, but on cheaper watches like Luminox you basically need to buy a new watch if you want to refresh the tritium.

Ball does a fine job of quality building it’s pieces. I have several and enjoy them. I used to go out of my way to switch my mid-level luxury pieces to Balls whenever going to the movies. Now, however...

If I had known about Ball watches before ordering my Tudor Black Bay 36, I would have picked one of them up instead. Value for money they look incredible. I like the variety of colors they have in their tritium.

I’ve owned a hydrocarbon as a daily beater for a while. The tritium tubes were great. I wouldn’t pay anything close to msrp. Last I checked they had some nice preorder pricing if there is something so must have.
