Yup, I think what you're referring to is Polywatch. That's what I used to get the weird metallic shiny "scratch" to come off of mine. There was also a smaller scuff looking thing that came out as well. Polywatch also took care of most of a pretty deep scratch I got on my Montblanc Starwalker pen where the floating logo is at the top of the cap. That stuff is aces in my book.
