Rolex strap I NEED HELP PLS HELP

Hello,

I bought a SS Rolex Datejust 2002 (no lug holes) and I wanted to get a leather strap for it for the winter. However this website is asking me to choose what width I need and I am totally lost. Here are the choices:

10/8
12/10
14/12
15/14
16/14
17/16
18/16
19/16
20/16
20/18
21/18
22/18
22/20
24/22

I have a 6.9 inch wrist if that matters????

They also offer no lugs bars, classic lug bars for 5 EUROs, and quick release lug bars for 10 ERUOs. I don't know what they mean by this. What do you guys recommend for my 36mm DJ model I mentioned above?

So with width, the format typically is this:

[Lug width/taper], Lug width being the distance between the lugs (20mm for your DJ), and the taper being what is the width of the strap at the buckle. The choice of taper is up to you I'm afraid!

I'm getting the steel deployant buckle too. Does this make a difference when choosing the width?

Are you buying the steel deployant from the leather band seller? Most tipical tapers on 20 mm bands are 20/ 18 and 20/16; if you buy a 20/18 band need a 18 mm clasp and a 16 mm clasp if you buy the 20/16 band

Yes from Atelier de Paris or something. So I imagine they will provide the suitable clasp. Why did the above poster say I should get quick release lugs?

What are they and what will they do? Is it worth it? And do you agree I should go 20/16 for a 6.9 inch wrist?

Quick release lugs refers to bands that have a groove to accomodate special springbars that can be removed without a springbar tool. Yes would recomend a 20/16 mm band for your wrist

The size of your wrist doesn't have anything to do with your strap choice. Those sizes you've mentioned are for the WIDTH of the strap. So you can choose between 20/18 and 20/16.

You have no choice but to choose 20, as this is the lug width of a DJ. If you want your new strap to fit the watch, it will have to be a 20mm strap. The 18 or 16, is the width of the strap at the clasp.. So the strap is tapered from 20mm down to 18mm or 16mm. It just comes down to personal preference...

Would you like the strap to be a little thinner at the clasp? Go with the 16. If a little wider, go with the 18.

If you are getting a deployant clasp, just ensure that it is the same width as the end of the strap.. 18mm or 16mm.
