Glad to be here
Hello everyone!
I've been lurking here and other watch forums for a while now and finally decided to join this one to learn more about watches in general, and Rolex more specifically. There seems to be a welcome level of maturity and civility here that I appreciate; looks like you can participate without geting flamed too badly . I've got a modest collection of mostly affordable watches with a few more expensive ones, and looking to get my toes wet in the deeper (that is, higher) end of the watch world. As you know, this hobby can get expensive so I want to be careful not to make any costly mistakes, since I've already made my share of less costly ones. Like other non-watch forums I have belonged to, it takes a while to join the crowd and settle in, so I'll be starting out slowly and hopefully pick up speed as I go along. |

Hope you enjoy getting your toes wet, ... bu don't be afraid to dive right in!
(The water is fine!) Soon, . . . . you'll be on your way to the addiction. Just you wait! Conider a look at a mid-2000's 16710. Excellent way to have "your" Rolex, and be able to change out bracelet for straps, and different inserts (that you can change yourself!). You'll have a Pepsi for when you're feeling colorful, and a black insert for more sedate affairs. You'll have the bracelet, and a black rubber, for when you go boating. It's a perfect starting point . . . IF you like the Sport line, that is. In any case, welcome to TRF, . . .and enjoy, amigo!!
