Have owned all of them...would take the Sub in a heart beat. Can also pick up a used no papers Speedy for $3k or a bit all day long. That’s the route to go for those, IMO.

Lol Rolex is not Ferrari.. more like would you take two C class or one E class. Sub is a fantastic one watch to own as a daily but it is not a rare or particularly special watch, and I love my Sub so this isn't to diminish the brand in anyway

Coming from someone who owns both the Rolex 114060 and a Hesalite Speedy Pro, I find that the 114060 gets the majority of the wrist time. Don't get me wrong I love the Moonwatch, but nothing quite has the same "feel" as the Submariner.
Personally, I find that it really comes down to what kind of strap/bracelet I'm in the mood to wear. 99.99% of the time I want a metal bracelet on my wrist, so the only answer is oyster steel. For the remainder of the time, I usually go with the Omega on a NATO or leather strap for a change of pace. My recommendation? Go with the Sub. The Moonwatch can always be had at a later time for a good price. |

Destroy has a point, if you really want a sub take it when you can get it. I really dig the new two tone sea dweller

I have two subs (G/SS and SG) and love them both! Would like a Hulk but can't bring myself to pay the inflated grey market price.

Omega is part of Swatch Group. I bought 2 mid-tier garbage from them. I don't know if I can trust Omega after that. Their resale value is not so great either. Go with Rolex, but after staring at all black Sub pics for years they can get boring after awhile. Colorful nato straps can help.
The only cool Omegas I like are vintage Seamasters, Seamasters with orange and black bezels, Railmasters, and Aqua Terras. But the classy all black Rolex Sub still wins if it's your only luxury watch IMHO. |

Sub, then get the Speedy later as circumstances permit. It is also an icon. You can safely skip the Seamaster - it’s pedestrian as divers go. An AquaTerra makes an acceptable DateJust alternative if you have an Omega itch. I’ve bought and sold the same AT twice but just ordered the DateJust 41 I really wanted.

Omega! Those are two iconic Omega watches. Gives you a great combination with one diver on rubber and one chrono on bracelet. I have the same Seamaster on rubber (white dial) and absolutely love it.

Easy...sub always a classic, looks amazing, will hold value at a minimum if you want to trade later...Speedmaster is a great watch...I have had 3...but, they don't stick...I have similar situation now as I have a big credit with a jeweler, and debating 2 v. 1 but, in the end...go with the sub...you will be glad that you did.

Get the sub. You can easily get omegas later.

I have had all of them. I no longer have the Omegas. Would like to add the Speedy back at some point later in life though. The Sub was just an all around everyday watch that could do anything.

Two very different watches for two very different reasons. I have my fair share of love for Rolex but I believe the Omega Seamaster CoAxial movement is superior. Omega had the lock down on the bracelets years ahead of Rolex. They wear extremely comfortable and although a Submariner is timeless classic that will always be in my collection. Not having an Omega is a mistake.
If you can swing both, go for it. If you are on a never ending long list for a Sub, then buy the Omega and start enjoying it until the supple and demand curve flattens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Love the Seamaster, not a big fan of the Speedmaster, tough call.

Tough choice to make
It's not a 41mm but it's pretty close.
