Haven't read all of the responses so I don't know if this has been suggested. I would recommend that you ask your SA to be introduced to the manager or owner as well so that you can start to build a relationship with them. Then, when you stop in you can talk to both, and begin casually dropping the watches you are waiting for. Perhaps cc the owner/manager on emails as well.

By doing it this way you are accomplishing what you want to do (raise the store's awareness of you) without upsetting your SA.

Same with Seinfeld, when it came out I was much younger and couldn’t get into it but I’m thinking that will change.
Totally off-topic, but one of the reasons that LD left Seinfeld was because of the intensely scripted nature of network TV and the fact that he had to get everything approved by suits in multiple layers of NBC management. In contrast, Curb isn't scripted. It's all improv and HBO gives him full creative control of each episode. That's why it's so brilliant. LD comes up with scene ideas and how he wants the episode to flow, but there's no scripted dialog. The actors are all building off of each other's reactions during the improv and they might do 30 different versions of a scene and then put together a final cut from bits of all of those takes during editing.

Jeff Garlin did a great interview about the whole process of shooting a Curb episode. His background is improv, so he said it's the dream job of a lifetime. He said in contrast, when he shoots an episode of The Goldbergs, he has to ask permission to try a different thing during a take. He said he had to get multiple people to sign off on him changing 1 word during a take for an episode, so Curb is like heaven. He loves The Goldbergs, but it's a completely different style.

Funny you should mention that! Few years back I was going to my barber shop that I’ve been going to for 20 years and turns out my barber took a heart attack and I was forced to use his brother best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. It was a no appointment shop so when he came back I always hoped that he was busy so I could use his brother instead I didn’t have the heart to tell him I was only using his brother.

It will be easy- try this: Tell her you have recently developed feelings for her and that because of (wife, girlfriend, fill in the blank) you simply cannot work with her any longer and ask her to recommend a new SA for you. Tell her you hope that she understands you want to keep things at a professional level as it will destroy you family if not.

Ah good to know. I LOVE Curb and think LD is a freaking genius. But I have caught some Seinfeld episodes in the past and have enjoyed it, more so than when I was an adolescent when it came out. Definitely gonna give it a try but just saw that it's on Hulu and I don't have that.

Maybe a good idea, just found out they have a new GM so it would be easy to ask for an introduction.

Haha she's at least 30 years older and I don't think she'd buy it.

Here’s an idea if you really want a switch. Call the AD and casually ask if so and so is working. Call at an early time when she’s prob not there and then just ask for the schedule. When the SA isn’t working go in the store and meet someone else.

how did you become the property of the hired help? Just talk the first person who approaches you.

When does an SA become your SA? After you buy something? After you buy a lot of things?
I've been to a particular AD in town several times this year, and sometimes would talk to a different SA because the original one is not in that day. Initially, I was a little concerned, as in who do I buy from if I do make a purchase, but now I don't worry about it, it's business - not that there's anything in the shop that I want to buy anyway!

There’s no obligation it’s just common courtesy if you receive good service to show some loyalty to anyone in sales.

Also, if you’re not working with management or ownership you’ll need the SA to lobby on your behalf for allocations so the better someone at the AD knows you the more fruitful it’s likely to be.

We work with multiple SA's with the AD we work with but they all work as a cohesive team rather than individually (at least they seem to do a very good job showing that even though, surely, they have individual commission plans and targets they have to hit). I have a watch SA and my wife works with whoever when she buys jewelry or has anything done. I normally talk to all of them though. I treat it like a networking event.

the hunter biden laptop and the corruption that surrounds it is definitely not a snoozer implied by your zzzzzzzzzz

as usual...it is the intolerant left that will start the argument and then get upset and call foul when they are confronted and called it.

but im sure im being racist or something like that..
