rolex 1675/3 originally with leather strap

Consulting a catalog of the time I have been able to find out that originally they also sold it with a leather strap. I really did not know. my question would be, what kind of strap was delivered.

That is very interesting Rafa.

I had a 1680/8 (#2.816.XXX) blue dialed originally with a black crocodile bracelet. Can you please find that in your catalogue?

thank you very much. If someone else has written information from the 70's, it will be interesting if they put it here, it is the best and most reliable information from Rolex

Steel or Plaque?

With a TT model (in my case 5701 Air King Date) but also could be DJ, GMT etc., would the buckle for the factory leather band be SS or gold plated (plaque)?

I think if there's no gold plate on the head, no gold plate on the tail, it would be solid gold everywhere. That said if I ever need a replacement buckle I'll get a plated one, they're a heckuvalot cheaper and unless my lunch guest whips out a bullion wand who's going to know but me.

This only goes for buckles, though. Other items, I want the metal to be what it looks like.
