Hi Quentin, hope your ear is doing OK.
Here's something your fort needs........ ammo, lots and lots of ammo to bean the bad guys. Nerf balls work great, and so do the plastic practice gold balls with lots of holes in them, the kind that look like little snowballs. I live in Canada so we use real snowballs in our forts.

You should get a few bags of the small plastic soldiers and make 2 forts across the room. Then take turns throwing bombs at the forts-a blast. I did this with my son for many years.

All the best for a speedy recovery. The fort does provide a good haven for the recovery I think!!

Thanks a lot for all of the suggestions. I loved the poem. It was great. All of the ideas were really good. We do need to get some food in the fort. I am almost done recovering from my surgery but, the fort will still live! Thanks very much! - Quentin
