BLNR all day every day. The blue is just sublime, and not washed out like the BLRO colors IMO

I owned both. The BLRO remains. I found the black and blue (although I really like the blue portion) bezel to be a snoozfest. If I had the previous BLNR on oyster, I would probably still own both. The BLNR on jubilee doesn't look right to me.

I agree. It’s weird but jubilee suits Pepsi ok and blnr not so good.

I own both, they’re both beautiful pieces, The BLNR is a stunner but the BLRO is more elegant imho. The black and blue is just perfect and is a more versatile watch, It’s my go to watch when I just bring one watch on my trips. Goes well with a suit as well as with jeans and Tshirt

One watch is called the Batman and the other is the iconic Pepsi.

Both are excellent watches.

BLNR - more wearable in terms of color matching and jubilee more flashy.
BLRO - better looking when you put the two side by side in the case.

I got a 126710BLNR a couple of months after it came out and it is the closest to a "daily" Rolex I have. I wasn't chasing a BLRO but I liked the idea when my AD offered me the next one to come in a few months ago. I got it about six weeks ago and I love it as much as the BLNR. The difference to me is the BLNR has a more modern look and the Pepsi is more classic. I cannot say which one I prefer, they are both pretty awesome.

I was given the option to choose between the BLNR and BLRO. Went in to it heavily favoring the BLRO having only seen it in pictures. After seeing the bezel in person, and in direct sunlight the pastel red/purple hues, BLNR was an easy choice for me and that’s what I walked out with. YMMV

I had a blro early on and got rid of it because the bezel colours were driving me crazy in most light. At the time I much preferred my Batman/jubilee. I recently acquired a 2021 blro, and I have to say that I prefer it over the blnr. It just seems more special to me given its history. And I love the darker blue/red. Though blnr is still a fine looking watch.

2 cents from someone that has neither...

I like the BLNR way better. I like the blue and black colors much more.

The BLRO is the OG and always will be, but you should go with whoever you feel about the watch. Theres nothing wrong in having personal preference.

There's not a wrong choice but for me BLRO as it's just so classic Rolex. The current bezel iteration even seems to call back to the original bakelite bezel.

I have both and the Pepsi wins by an inch, the bracelet is more comfortable. The Pepsi gets more compliments my lady likes the Pepsi more.

Pepsi Pepsi Pepsi!

Having said that please do not pay market price for a Pepsi. I can tell you these watches are not worth the price. I would buy a Calatrava or an 1815 over a Pepsi at market price.

Depends what you mean by 'worth it'. If someone has the extra cash and doesn't mind paying the premium, and really wants the watch, it's worth it.

And I sorta doubt we've seen the ceiling on the market price yet. Do I wish anyone who wants one could get one at retail? For sure. But is that reality? Unfortunately not.

Both are amazing pieces, you can't go wrong with either. But for me the BLRO just has more history behind it and gets my vote.

Thanks everyone for the replies. The BLRO/Pepsi would not be a small purchase for me but I was curious to see if anyone who had the 116710BLNR (Batman) had regretted buying the Pepsi or once bought, still preferred to wear the Batman instead.

I'm intrigued by the jubilee bracelet since I don't have a watch with it. To be honest, I initially thought the jubilee was a bit 'blingy' and would turn me off from wearing the BLRO/Pepsi. However, I love the BLRO colours as it hearkens to fond childhood memories of Magnum PI and it's such a classic watch.

Had both, got rid of the BLRO. They colors were way off. Red looked burgundy and the blue look... idk. Just wasn’t right. The BLnr’s colors were more consistent regardless of lighting.

Is funny to see how Rolex took advantage of us about gmt. The 5 digit one 16710 with 3 inserts (black, Pepsi, coke) and 2 bracelet (oyster, jubilee) give you potentially 3!=6 different watch. Instead now you need to buy 3 watch (coke or black I assume will come back soon)

OP, without reading all the replies, I have both ( BLNR oyster and BLRO jubilee ) and believe there is definitely room for both in a collection. BLRO is more fun and BLNR is more dressy.

For me, hands down, BLNR on Oyster over the BLRO on Jubilee

If both were on Jubilee, it’d be a tougher decision

I’m probably a bit biased though, the BLNR on Oyster is quite possibly my favourite watch

I have both modern iterations of the BLNR and BLRO. However, I prefer BLNR in 6 digits and BLRO in 5 digits references.
