Gifting FPJ associate?

Just looking for some advice:

I recently purchased an FPJ. They delivered it to me, which involved a flight and and overnight stay on the part of their salesperson. Am I crazy to think that a bottle of whiskey would be appropriate to send to the salesperson? I know people get ripped for asking this question, but that has usually been in reference to walking into a retailer's AD store. I feel like the cross-country delivery might change things a bit?

Thank you!

A gratuity is a personal thing, not a universal edict.

If you feel that one is appropriate, go for it. but it may be nice to know if the SA is a whiskey drinker.

Yes, a gift is certainly in order.

If you feel like the service went above and beyond, reward. There are only a very precious few SAs out there in this biz who do gold. Everyone loves to hear/talk/fixate on the bad especially here so its nice to see someone go the extra the mile to seal the deal.

When I see someone going so far above and beyond, then recognizing that with a gift seems very appropriate. I’m generally averse to gifts for someone moving me up a list or otherwise doing the basic functions of their job, but genuinely going beyond the required is certainly worthy of a personal gift or reward to the salesperson.

Make sure they like whiskey. I see no harm in rewarding someone who goes above and beyond

I think it's fine but you're also paying $$$ for a watch. The Lange boutique in NYC did something similar for me but I kind of expected it when spending that much.

"which involved a flight and and overnight stay on the part of their salesperson"

Now that's a service.

I would definitely gift that bottle of whiskey.

Most definitely especially given the current pandemic travel.

What Journe did you get? What whiskey are you going to give? Actually, I don't care about the whiskey. What watch did you get?

Hand delivery is a feature of all FPJ Boutique purchases. Again, showing why they are one of the hottest names in watches. Best customer experience I've ever had and I've tried them all. True white glove service.

I see nothing wrong with it. I sent an m10 to a good salesmen a few years ago. Seemed prudent.

I’d take him/her out for a meal and talk watches. Then hand over a thoughtful gift; whiskey usually works.

What's an m10, pardon my ignorance. Sounds like a weapon.

100%, this is a good thing to do.

Find out if they are a whiskey drinker first.

For that kind of service, absolutely. I would make sure they actually like whiskey though.

I didn’t know they hand delivered, but 100% agree- they have hands down the best customer service.
