SD43 on a 6.5" wrist, let see it!

I'm seriously looking into the SD43, there's no grey in my area so there's no way I can try this on.

Please post photos of all angles and distance or videos if possible!

Looks great! Go for it - my wrist is about 6.75” - I tried on my brother’s SD 43, it fit me well.

I saw your videos before (assuming it's yours). It looks perfect on the wrist. I can't decide as it looks slightly big on other pictures I see on this forum. I guess it depends on the wrist shape as well.

not mine, just helping out. I have a 6.75 wrist and this helped me decide on buying the SD43.

SD43 is a bit big on a 6.5inch

I also have 6.5 and felt the SD43 was quite uncomfortable to wear.

Who needs an anchor when you have that watch. I have a similar size wrist. Those models at 43 make My wrist look like a child's with a medallion on the top. That's before you move the wrist and feel how the weight is distributed

I have a 6.5 inch and while I found it very uncomfortable and unwearable that was down to the awfully designed protruding case back and not it’s size.
I found it actually wore smaller than my 11 series Submariner due to the slimmer lugs

My wrist size is between 7.25 and 7.5” and I’m not sure I’d consider that watch. It’s 43mm with a lug to lug size of 50mm.

However, with that said, it’s basically the same size as a Seamaster 300mp, and that fits fine on me.

Either way, it seems large for anyone with a wrist size less than 7”.

Hi, I have a wrist of 6.75” and the sd43 sits perfectly on my flat wrist, I think it’s the perfect size, i also have a Batman and can’t feel any differences, they both are very comfortable to me, there are people who complain about the size of the sea dweller but you are wearing a diving watch, what can you expect? I prefer the size of the sea dweller to the sub, more wrist presence and I also prefer larger watches, to me the sea dweller is a win even though I wasn’t completely sure about buying it due to the size at the beginning before I tried , I don’t regret a second now

SD43 on my 6.75 wrist. The "size" was fine, but the weight and shape of the case back drove me nuts. Sold it after one weekend of wearing it.

Still, it's a beautiful watch for guys who don't have those issues.

Way to big, I don’t understand why people wear a watch with the lugs hanging over there wrist.

The shape of your wrist is also a big factor. I have a 7” wrist with slight some muscular irregularity where my watches sit, due to past injuries and several years of kettlebell training. The protruding caseback of my SD43 actually sits very well on my wrist. In fact, it fits far better than the flatter caseback on the EXP II that I traded in toward the SD43. The EXP II tilted toward 12 o’clock or 6 o’clock on my wrist, but never sat flush no matter how tightly I wore it. I went for the SD43 after examining the caseback of my Speedy Pro - which has always been comfortable - and finding that it was rather convex (or protruding) compared to the EXP II.

Bottom line observation: if the back of your wrist is flat, bony, or narrow, the SD43’s protruding caseback might not work well for you.

Thanks everyone, I've been eyeing on this watch for 2 years already and I won't be able to get it off my mind until it's on my wrist. The size should be fine. It might or might not be comfortable on me. I just have to take a gamble. I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of comfort for it as I can't find any others that interests me

I love mine 7.75 in wrist so comfy If you were blessed with a small wrist then by all means don't buy one don't want you to wear something that is uncomfortable or looks funny. By all means leave it for someone who will love it and appreciate it

There have been too many mixed opinions, from perfect size and very comfortable to too big and looks funny. I've seen tons of photos and videos, some look off but some look amazing. I will never know until it's on my wrist

That’s it right there. Everybody likes their watches to fit differently, it’s a very personal thing. Gotta have it on your wrist to know if it works for you.

I have a 6.75 inch wrist and was looking forward to buying a Sea Dweller. Until I tried one on. Felt like a tuna can strapped to my wrist. Made me realize that the Submariner is much more appropriate piece for me and grateful to own one. I think the trend is moving away from bigger watches now but I could be wrong. Fat ties.....skinny ties....fat ties.....well you know how it goes.

I don't wear mine, I just took it out of the safe to do these shots. Big watch, although not ridiculously huge. I personally think it's too big for most wrists, even on my average 18.5cm/7.2in wrist (bracelet’s not sized though).

IMHO you either need 20cm/8in+ wrists to look the best or just like a large watch to appreciate it. Ideally, you'd want to try it on at an AD or a grey before you buy. Good luck.

You will have to try it but imo and in general you will need at least 7+ Lot depends on your wrist shape and overal size as well.

I was getting pretty inspired by this - I have a 6.8" wrist that is very flat. With slightly bigger forearms, I can pull off slightly bigger watches. BUT, some people are talking about comfort. Do i recall correctly, the comfort issue comes from rounded wrists for the SD43? This thread actually was throwing this watch, really quickly, into my thoughts - for whenever I can get it.
