I would spread the love around and speak to other ADs (not from the same chain). Explain that you’ve purchased from X AD, but sadly their waiting list on the piece you seek is a little long due to demographics in that area. Tell the other ADs that you’re planning on starting a collection starting with the watch you want now. Visit these other ADs, don’t just call. Get the employees card alleging that you’d let him/her know if you are successful elsewhere, so as not to waste their time (honest ploy). Then send an email every month “hey remember me, I came in on xx, was just wondering how things are going”.
