Yacht-Master vs Oyster Perpetual? Poll edition
Two of the most underrated watches in the Rolex lineup. Which do you prefer?
I meant to add a poll last time but unfortunately forgot |

Had both
I prefer the YM37 as it has more presence. But its also a bit shinier and less toolish due to the high polished bracelet i feel. OP goes a bit more under the radar. Depends if you plan go wear it daily or not |

I was deciding between these (unlike keobneop, lol). I like them both.
YM has a much nicer profile than the sub - not as bulky and maxi. Its more beautiful, and certainly not as much of a cliche. In the end, its a bit too shiny with that platinum bezel though. I did do a mockup of it using some spare parts with the black ceramic dial - in the end I didn't like that either (in spite of Rolex coming up with basically the same thing later in the 42mm version). Certainly the OP is beautiful and very comfortable to wear. I just can't get over having only three lumed indexes though (the black and the white ones are better). Definitely more low key with less platinum and no cyclops. Its what I would pick for a daily wearer. In the end i chose neither. If I had to choose, I'd go for the white dial OP. |

Love crown guards and date feature, so OP is out.

I love the YM but I can't pull the trigger on a metal bezel in the era of ceramic bezels. I just love it staying minty forever'ish.
So my money is holding out for a YM 40 RG. My wife has the 37 YM RG and it's just an incredibly cool stealthy watch. |

I voted OP (previous gen white dial 39 or 36) for the more everyday aspect...but the YM (in platinum dial would be a close, close, close 2nd choice. I wouldn't say no to the blue or rhodium either.
If we're talking current-gen OPs (I don't like), then it's Yachtmaster all the way. |

Easy choice for me - YM all day. But I do also have a DJ.

But the watch is almost completely different... Lugs are different shape and polished, bezel isn't even the same material, different clasp, alot slimmer on height and width, PCL's, different dial options i.e Sunburst, matte.
Would you also say the GMT and Sub are essentially the same too? To OP - YM 100% |

I do love the YM40 on OF in rosegold. I’d choose that over any OP41 any day. |
