White Daytona prices are up a bit???

What have I missed??

Platinum too...

It seems to me these have suddenly rocketed up in price?

Is it the tide in general? Are most pieces still going up ?

In part because the hoarde got themselves into a frenzy because of misguided speculation of it being discontinued a few months ago. They seem to have stuck at those prices.

Its mainly because Rolex are no longer watches bought to be worn and enjoyed, now they are just £££$$$€€€€€ object things nothing more.

When is this forum going to stop the “investment threads”?? Is TRF now converted into a Rolex money watch forum??

I think we may need to do a hard enforcement of the posted forum rules for a few weeks to redirect the forum and point it back to its original intended themes.

(iv) THIS IS A ROLEX WATCH DISCUSSION FORUM AND NOT A PRICE OR INVESTMENT OR DISCOUNT DISCUSSION FORUM SO IF YOU HAVE A QUERY REGARDING PRICES, INVESTMENTS OR DISCOUNTS THEN MAKE YOUR OWN PERSONAL ENQUIRIES AND INVESTIGATIONS AND DO NOT POST THOSE ISSUES HERE.

OP didn’t mention “investment.” He simply commented that prices seem to be moving up (in the secondary market, I presume).

Seems like a fair and reasonable question for discussion. If it doesn’t interest you, feel free to ignore it and move on.

To the OP... Yes, global demand for Rolex watches has skyrocketed over the last few years.

True this but also pricing has to be considered in this "hobby!" Obviously the playing field isn't the same as it was 10 years ago.

OP, to respond to your question: yes very sharp increase in prices in the secondary market especially since the beginning of the year.

But not much change in the past month. Prices will probably continue to rise on this reference, though.

If you purchase at the market price now, I don't believe you will lose money in the future. The value will increase at least at the rate of inflation.

You may have been able to find at least some of the answers to your questions by downloading and searching the chrono24 application, it's free, or go to chrono24.com. average prices are a little bit higher on the website, since the sellers have to pay fees, and those prices are asking prices not necessarily selling prices. you can also do some quick searches for similar threads and get much insight.

Can you arbitrage-hedge a black Daytona against it?

I’d like to see this implemented, but it seems that when it’s enforced it’s done so when it suits. If there’s talks of prices dropping the iron fist comes down, but when it’s about increasing prices its open season.
