Hi all - just wanted to get a few folks opinion on a recent polish job. It was done by a "Rolex trained" tech. It was supposed to go to RSC, but it didn't. My question is, should this be sent back to RSC for a proper polish job/repair or do I risk more problems having it polished again. Pics below. Any input appreciated. I think this polish job is terrible.

Help me out.Never had a watch polished before. Was told it was mandatory

Your pics are low quality. It's difficult to tell ...from what I see it appears normal....it is unlikely that RSC will be able to restore anything....once you lose the factory Sharp edges, there is no way to get them back. They are gone forever.

If it makes you feel any better, it is extremely likely that Rolex service center would have done a very similar job. It is normal to get rounding when you polish and then mid-case of a modern piece.

Not seeing an issue, lugs still look nice and thick. Might be a slight loss of sharpness at the top of the lug, but overall looks good.

Wear it and enjoy it.

Have to agree need much better pictures to decide, but today there is a anti polish syndrome on most watch forums. And many could not tell a good polish from there ar##e or elbow. Rolex watches are designed to be polished at normal routine service only, thats around every 5 -10 years depending on use. From the new pictures cannot see anything that stands out for any major concern.

Stop polishing your watches people. There is no point. Watches gets scratches. Polishing can only make things worse, outside of serious gouges

I have no issue with the polish job and time will add back in the patina of wear. Let it go and wear your watch. In the future if you are concerned with the quality of polishing then just do not do it. Great watch.

Looks good from your photos. Borrow someone’s newer phone camera if you can though, that might be helpful here.

The resolution of your pictures are too low to see much. That said, the 6 digit Subs can withstand a lot and this is a watch designed to get beat up (and cosmetically restored periodically, should you desire). Quite often, there is an anti-polishing sentiment that is simply undeserved. If it is a really bad polish job, there are specialists that can address that.

You may want to talk to an independent like LA Watch Works. They've done some miracle work on watches in much, much worse condition.
