After talking a bit back and forth with the sales guy I asked if it was possible to get on a list for a OP41 to which he replied that it was. So he signed me up and told me that the estimated wait time would be 1-1½ years. At first I was surprised because I've heard of people waiting 5-6 years for a Sub, so 1-1½ years for a OP41 seems well, reasonable to me. I was also surprised that I could get signed up having no previous history.

Now where do I go from here? I want to build a relationship and I'm also looking into buying a particular watch from another brand that they carry, but I'm uncertain how to go about on this. It's watch that I could easily get 15-20% discount of, but should I ask this AD for a discount or refrain from it, in order to "stay on good terms" ?

I know I'm not forced to buy an OP41 if I should get a call one day, but for me it's an understated model and I like the simplicity of it. I also like that it's not a Sub (lol) since Subs are easily recognizable and the OP flys more under the radar.
If you are looking for the red, yellow or tourquise you are not getting the watch.

Bring some small gifts, but not too often.

Casually enquire after her family/children. Make her feel that you care, but that you are not to be messed with.

Pay in cash, try to appear wealthy in general, e.g. by dropping some hints about you have vacationed in countries like Europe.

Then, when your time has come, take the watch and run.
Does this strategy actually work for you? Seems a bit bizarre.

Hmm well to be honest I'm not that interested in going that way. The list price for a OP41 here where I live is $7100 and a grey market 2021 OP41 is $9710 I think at $7100 it's fair value where $9700 is way too much in my opinion.
