Polishing, Does the color temp of the light reflection change

I have noticed when I use a Cape Cod cleaning cloth on my Rolex high polish link's, or case sides the color temp of the reflection seems brighter...is this just me or does this really happen? If so, what does the Rolex service centers use to maintain or restore the original warmer color temp of the reflection. What have you noticed and are their other methods, ie polishing media, I can use at home to retain the original color temp. Again I have noticed a warmer reflection color temp with the Rolex before polishing with a Cape Cod cloth, after polishing it seems much brighter, changing slightly from warmer, to cooler) or brighter,(almost harsh) light that is reflected.

several things might be altering the perceived colour temperature reflection or refraction.

Day light ?
Blue sky ?
Cloudy ?
Direct natural light ?
Time of day for natual light ?
Colour of walls in a confined area ?
Light bulb type ?
Light bulb colour ?
TL grading of bulb ?

The variables just go on and on.

Apart from that a cape Cod cloth may well leave a polish residue behind. that will also change what light behaviour there is.

Could this just be a different scratch pattern reflecting light?
