If he was worth a damn as a skilled watchmaker he would have come out and apologized for the mishap (obviously he knows he scratched it) and offered to polish it out if you wouldn't mind waiting a few more minutes. What a jerk...

Thank you! I really expected better from the RSC, but even if I complain they will deny it and it’s just not worth the hassle, next time I’ll take pictures before handing it over and inspect it very closely when they return it.
