Many great references.

Nobody wanted a blue Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight… so no winners there.

Second reference hasn’t been fully revealed yet.

I would buy that if I could sell my Tudor Tiger 79280P, I think I will be sending the Tiger to consignment.

I’d probably also take the new “Cannes Dial”. AKA The Palme d’Or Dial AKA the Golden Palm dial 2tone yellow gold Datejust on a Jubileee, if you got one. It doesn’t look like anyone else wanted that model. :(

Haven’t put it on because I know I will want to keep it. By all accounts, it’s supposed to be a fantastic watch.

The point of this exercise is to make pieces available to worthy TRFers who (for whatever reason) don’t get offered watches often. So, if someone is interested, post here and PM me.

PhillipeD was the ONLY person who mentioned this specific Tudor model before the reveal... but, unfortunately, has to pass it up. Best to you, brother!

Don't worry, TRF. I know it will find a great home. I will be sharing an update by Friday.

PAY IT FORWARD - ROUND #2? Anyone interested?

I am pleased to share that a brand new unworn unsized Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze has been safely delivered to an amazing Rolex/Tudor lover with an amazing timepiece collection.

I waited a bit to see if other TRF members (those with limited purchase history or were far away from an AD) wanted this highly desirable model. But, at the end of the day, this collector recognized and appreciated the opportunity to obtain this model at MSRP without waiting months for it.

Congratulations to the recipient!

VH2K, just curious, did you experience the same shortages of SS that all of us are recently. You think it is much worse than round 1? I think a lot of us would like to hear what you observed this time around and your opinions.

Good question. Here is my take on that:

Over the past several months, models you would expect to see in the case (TT DJ41, SS DJ36, SS DJ31, OP31, TT YM42, etc.) have disappeared. Hard to know for sure if this is just today's insatiable demand for ANYTHING Rolex, an issue with production, or a combination of both.

The super hot flippable SS models never make it to the display case anyway... so, it's difficult to discern if production is the same or lower than usual.

This situation is not likely to change in the short term -- as ADs have been venting about completely empty display cases and Rolex's response was to develop a program to outfit ADs with display models. Interesting times.
