Best watch model by watch maker

Let’s say I want to buy one watch per watch maker, and I wanted a variety of watch styles (e.g., dress/gold, aviation theme, diver theme, GMT, etc.), what are your thoughts for the top watch makers?

I started thinking about this when looking for a simple nice gold dress watch. I like the following, but I’d like a diverse maker collection, so want to be smart about my selection:
-Vacheron Constantin Patrimony
-IWC PORTUGIESER
-omega GLOBEMASTER

Lange: Datograph…. Most iconic; but lots of great pieces

Well, it's not my choice, but I think Rolex Submariner date is a) the most legendary dive watch or close enough, b) has the most 'quintessential' Rolex features like the rotating bezel and instant-change date. So it'd be a good representative, if you don't mind being somewhat unoriginal.

Smart choice with the Globemaster.

Best or most iconic? Most go for the latter.

JLC - Reverso

Lange - Lange 1

Omega - Speedy Pro

IWC - Big Pilot or Portugieser

Patek - hobnail bezel dress piece (a la 5119), Nautilus or Aquanaut

AP - Royal Oak, of course

Cartier - Santos

VC - Overseas

FPJ - Resonance - agree with the post above

Blancpain - Fifty Fathoms - agree with the post above

Breguet - Tradition, 3337 or 5140 (Breguet has such a distinctive look and excellent internal design cohesion across its range; so many choices here)

Rolex - TT Datejust (a bit sad to say) or steel Submariner...but the OP39 or smaller Explorer I would work too (as with Breguet, many choices here as Rolex has excellent design cohesion across its range).

These wouldn't necessarily be my choices for "best" or even preferred, but you do get a certain boost from the iconic designs--a reason they sell so well.

Voutilainen Vingt-8 (Or anything based on this movement)
MB&F LM101 ( could be LM1 but LM101 is more wearable)
