My wife has the smallest onw. She likes it.

I like the rose gold and steel. Which is funny because I do not like TT RG on a Rolex. Somehow this looks better.

Thanks, I think the dial is beautiful. Excuse my ignorance but what is the purpose of the “break” in the steel housing the crown at about 13:00? I see it on the Cartier website pictures as well.

Do you mean the crown is in a housing? Just a design effect. Makes it harder to use the crown.

No I see a gap in the metal on the posterior side of the housing. Perhaps just an optical illusion.

It is a very nice watch, but IMO it's a woman's watch, designed as such, and then upsized to try to sell volume to men as well. My wife has one and it's a favorite. But bumping it up to 40mm doesn't turn it into a man's watch any more than making an XXL size dress and calling it mens' wear.

No offense to anyone here who has the large size, but the design has always seemed very feminine to me.

Sounds like something only a masculine man, secure in himself, can wear.

The Santos with its exposed screws has always appeared more masculine vs the Ballon to me, but everything is androgynous these days.

Tried one on at the Cartier boutique, along with a few other models. I think I don't like Cartier's design language, those huge printed Roman markers, the so-so guilloche, the tiny hands. They all felt dainty and fashion accessory orientated.
