New EXP 2 Fault

Received a new polar faced exp 2 a week ago.

Lovely watch, but have noticed the GMT hand is slightly out to the hour hand when in GMT mode.

The gmt hand reaches the right time 5 mins before.

Not a major one but now I know it, I cannot help being slightly annoyed by it.

This sort of thing is on my list to check when at the AD I don't want that gut feeling after I've walked out.
When I bought my BB41 I was chatting with one of the SA and he said what's that your doing I said checking the hour and minute hands line up at 12 and straight at 6 he said I'll try that.
He had a tag and it's about a minute out he said he would send it back still under warranty.
Geez a job.

Which would invalidate the warranty, unless done by RSC.

I do understand your feelings about that. But in today’s market, what is the buyer’s option?

Only two that I know of…

Decline the watch and wait months, or a year, for the next one to come in. (Not what most will want to do)

Or wear it for a while during warranty period and then submit it to RSC for corrective measures. (My suggestion)

I wouldn’t do any special inspection beyond the obvious visual review of case and bracelet, plus unscrewing crown and winding it a few times.

Then, after getting it home I can observe movement accuracy, clasp operation, check date switch time, review all complications are aligned correctly, etc. That way I will know if more than one thing needs to be addressed by RSC (should any need be addressed).

I'd rather do without than accept a fault my hard earned is as good as the guy that gets a good one.
When I bought the watch I've got I was checking the one in the shop to walk but found a small scratch on it " probably a comparison click "
They got me a new mint and still in the coffin with all the stickers on for me to examine as I pleased.
Delighted I got all the checks out of the way and bracelet sized too.
I couldn't obviously check its accuracy but if it wasn't reasonable it would go back.
Maybe I was lucky.
