1986 Submariner

Afternoon all,

Newbie here!

I have just purchased a 1986 Sub Date which I have been on the look out for ages but unfortunately the supplied spare link has been cross threaded and won't 'catch'

Has anyone any advice as to where is best to pick up a new link as could do with one quickly.

Cheers
Robin

Congrats! Let’s see some pictures. I just picked up the same year Sub as well. 16800 right?

This guy sells half links and has them in stock. Mind you, not Rolex branded but if you need quick its in stock. https://www.ebay.com/itm/143557122611

You may just need a new screw. However, it has been my experience that when the threads are stripped, it's often an aftermarket link anyway.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your response, we tried a screw from another one of the links that was fitted to the watch and unfortunately that didn't work either so looks like it is deffo the link.

Cheers

Most dealers have links in stock for a whole lot less than folks sell them for on the Internet.
