Incoming...FINALLY
It finally happened!!!!
A little backstory, I had a Sub purchased in 2013 that I ended up selling in 2016 to pay my student loans after law school. I totally regretted it ever since. I got an IWC Spitfire in Paris in 2019, but that didn't scratch the itch. Then, I decided to build a relationship with my AD here in Atlanta this year. Bought an Omega Seamaster in May, and I registered my interest in any professional Rolex model. SA told me the waitlist is long and not to expect anything quick. 8 months later, I got married, and decided to do his and her watches to celebrate (bundling with Xmas as well). This past Monday, I walked in to the AD and bought the new Cartier Tank that my wife has wanted for a long long time. Mentioned my interest again, and got the polite "sure thing we'll let you know". I went in and picked up the Cartier this evening as they were getting it gift wrapped and engaged with another SA because mine had left for the day. She asked if she could help with anything else, and I told her about my his and hers marriage watch idea. She apologized for not having fulfilled that and then said, "Hold on I'll be right back". 20 minutes later, she comes out with this on the tray and asked if I'm interested. She also has a 37mm Yachtmaster. It was too small for me and the gold works pretty well with my skintone. Well, I bought it right there and here we are. As an aside, on the Cartier purchase, they provided a Cartier crystal bottle of champagne, Cartier branded cleaning kit, red suede travel pouch, and a Cartier ring holder with an airplane motif. Lots of extras that were unexpected. Sorry for the long story, but I'm over the moon right now (or maybe under the ocean!!) |

Great story. So awesome when someone who will appreciate and OWN the watch gets one from an AD.

Congrats!
I picked up the TT SD43 a few months ago and it’s a beautiful watch. It’s scrumptious and pics do not do it justice. That weight alone is so amazing. Enjoy!!

Big congrats on both acquisitions. The Cartier is exquisite, and the bi-metal SD is rugged, handsome, and cool. Hope you and your wife thoroughly enjoy your respective new watches.
