Thats quite an increase on the Daytona. I’ve been saying on here for weeks that there is no way that Rolex was increasing prices by just 3.4% as has been rumored on here incessantly.

Rolex just spoiled New Years Eve festivities for every grey dealer in the United States. Now they have to pull their Ferrari and Lambos over or put down the Cristal champagne and rush back to raise all their online prices by 10% before dawn. What a bummer

I know this isn't really an indicator, but it's hard not to wonder whether the AK is about to be replaced with a new version... Last year, it was the same price as the Explorer, $6,450, but now it's $7,150 to the Explorer's $7,200.

OP pricing is interesting, too. Last year, I thought there was a $300 difference between each size (IIRC, the 34 was $5,300, the 36 was $5,600, the 39 was $5,900), but now it's a little more all over the place. The 34 is $5,500, the 36 is $5,800, the 41 is $6,150. The 28 and 31 seem even more out of sync. Makes one wonder...

This seems more in line with what I personally would have expected. The 3.4% seemed very low.

It will be fascinating to see how many get the call tomorrow or Monday… I’d be a little pissed if my AD texted me tomorrow. And then I’d go pick up my watch, lol.

Yea, but the specifics with the AK also support my theory about the new AK basically being a 36mm Explorer w/different dial. By bringing the current model in slightly below the Explorer (when they used to be the same) means that the new one can go up $50, to match its twin.

No need for the panic. You’re looking at the two tone reference price tag, not the all steel. Try refreshing your browser, the website is still a bit wonky from the updates.

The 32934 oyster bracelet was $14,800, but now $15,200.

They don’t release new models at this time of the year. We’ll need to wait till Watches & Wonders in March.

For reference, I had these two in my recent memory.

The 228235 DD40 was $39,250 previously, but now $40,350.

The YM40 (126655) was $27,800, but now $28,050.

Alright guys I made some notes for a all in one update

For the most part

116500 $13,150 versus $14,550 ouch
116505 $39,350 versus $40,500 I’ll take it
116515 $29,700 versus $30,500 I’ll take it

126610 $9,150 versus $10,100 ouch
124060 $8,100 versus $8,950

126710 BLNR and BLRO $9500 versus $10,750 ouch
126711 CHNR $14,800 versus $15,250
126715 CHNR $38,250 versus $39,350

124300 OP 41 $5,900 versus $6,150 thought it would be more. See Tiffany madness lol

326934 SkyD $14,800 versus $15,200 Still a bargain in my book

226570 Exp II $8,350 versus $9,500 Kinda surprised on this

126603 SD TT $16,600 versus $17,000
126600 SD 43 $11,700 versus 12,950 Also surprised. Not a huge seller IMO
126660 DSSD $12,600 versus $13,850 See above

116400 GV $8300 versus $9,150 Hmm

Okay I’m done.

But overall I’m only after a 505/515 to complete my Rolex endeavors and there small price increase is actually good news in my opinion. Price increase less than most

Wasn’t it John Mayer who said something like, ‘When I realized I wanted the watches more than I wanted the money, that’s when I knew I was a collector.’

Will these prices deter anyone?

Didn’t think so.

I don’t see this price increase remotely doing anything other than maybe pushing some to buy even more in the secondary market.
