FSOT: Circa 1984 Rolex DateJust 16030 - serviced

Hello all. Up for sale or trade is a stunning Circa 1984 Rolex DateJust 16030 that was just recently serviced. This is a fantastic watch that it brings the vintage and modern perfectly together. With its unmistakable lines of the classic 36mm DateJust, the styling is timeless. However, with the change from the 16xx series into the 16xxx series, Rolex transitioned from the true and trusted 1570 movement to its evolution, the more robust Caliber 3035 movement. With this, the DateJust gained the quickset date feature which allowed the user to quickly set the date rather than winding the watch 24 hours before a single date change. It should be noted that originally, this 16030 started life with a steel turned bezel and steel crown. The previous owner had replaced those parts with yellow gold fluted bezel and crown, giving it the appearance that it has now. He kept the originals and provided those to me recently. Both the steel bezel and crown will be included with the watch and can be installed in place of the current ones prior to shipping, if so desired. As can be seen from the pictures, the watch is in excellent condition. The deep black gloss dial is virtually free of blemishes and the tritium lume has taken on a slight creamy hue. Inside, the watch has a recently serviced, clean movement that should keep the watch running problem-free for years to come.
