Lost my watch today

Such a sad day. Lost my grail watch(116503) today that I got right before Christmas. What a horrible day. I haven’t taken it off since I got it. I shoveled my dads driveway today, went and cleared my moms cars off and cleared her parking spots, then went sledding and snowboarding with the kids and when I got home it wasn’t on my wrist. So in a panic I drove back around to places I was and am on my way to another. What a horrible feeling. No one I’ve spoken with understands a man and his watch so figured I would post here. This blizzard is not helping the situation either.

That feeling when you realize something’s not where it should be and your stomach drops is awful. Best of luck in recovering the piece safely.

So sorry to hear that! What an unlucky way to lose it, just helping family and enjoying life. I’m surprised though, how could the watch come undone from the bracelet… maybe while skiing?

I hope you find it! Good luck.

I’m sorry to hear that. My first guess is it might be at the snow boarding area.

i hope it wasn't stolen; if by any chance you may've misplaced it somewhere- hope it finds it's way back to you & you find it.

if not, report the serial# to Rolex, also file a police report and you never know- it may return back to you some point in the future.

it's a horrible feeling, i can understand. :(

Damn, that’s a rough day. I have a buddy that lost a 16618lb while riding a motorcycle in the early 90’s. Has no idea where it fell off but it was there when he went riding and not there when he got home. Never found it again. Best of luck op, I hope you can find it.

That is not a fun day. The good news is if it’s insured, shouldn’t be too hard to replace. I’ve had those moments, it’s the same feeling when for a split second you can’t find your kid, ugh it’s the worst. Hope you find it!

Ouch, I flip when I misplace or in the rare event lose something.

Hoping with time it makes it's way back but that's an awful feeling that unfortunately I can relate to.

That sucks!!!!!

Hopefully someone finds it and is honest enough to turn it in.

You never know though, you may find in once the snow melts and your fathers house.

Thank you gentleman, I truly can’t figure it out. I’m back at another spot where it could have fallen off but with the blizzard it’s impossible. Not giving up yet though.

Do a google search to see if there any any folks with metal detectors in the area. There are usually a few who are happy to come out (for a small price to cover fuel) to help recover lost items

Any chance it’s possible to put up a few posters up when it’s safe to do so around the area you lost it, with an email address or contact details for you, and potentially offering a reward for its safe return?

I’d also post the serial number here if not found soon, and inform your insurer.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this….

Good call on metal detector. Also was thinking same thing about putting up signs with a reward.

so hard to imagine how this could come off! hoep you find it. Look at pictures you took to see if you can spot when you had it or didnt, if anyone took photos on their phones. check your coat and car. Im sure youve done that already.

OP, so sorry to hear this.
Did you realize after you took off your gear?
It might sound silly, but perhaps it flinged off inside the house as you were removing your coat. Check in the sleeve, in your glove or even in boots in the area!!
Don't discount any place.
Best of luck.

My heart really goes out to you with this. It is a horrible feeling and you really feel like it's just a dream that you're going to wake up from. I hope that you are able to recover it; be safe out in these conditions and keep us posted.

I recommend to use / post about the loss on the Next Door website. There are still good people out there that would report such a find

You have my sympathies OP although do you remember taking it off at any point? As Rolex literally is built like a tank, I haven't heard of any modern bracelet coming off like that

Prayers and good vibes being sent to you from our family.

I know that this is a hard. I too lost some very important jewelry over the years.

In the end, items can be replaced. People cannot.

I haven’t taken the watch off since I got it. I shower, sleep, workout, work, play with kids, ice fish, snowboard etc… has not left my wrist once. When I purchased it, it was a little loose and I like my watch snug so the salesman flicked open clasp as I don’t have fingernails and he did the ez link and it fit snugly. The only thing I can think of is it wasn’t in all the way and it took 5 weeks to pop out. Who knows. Great suggestions here everyone, appreciate all the words of encouragement and as said it’s just a watch so it can be replaced and it was insured. Just very sad as it was my favorite watch and just can’t believe it’s not on my wrist right now. Feel naked without it.

I have checked all clothing, house, truck a few times. Been looking for hours. I will assemble a team and hit all the spots again tomorrow with a metal detector as well.

Dont give up.
It should be in the snowsledding area.
I cannot imagine why it would fall off shoveling snow.

Good luck.
