I personally consider the crown and stem to be part of the movement.
Ask Rolex. They will give you the skinny. The stem and crown came out of my brand new Timex Marlin and Timex fixed it under warranty. Maybe Rolex thinks differently, but it doesn't look good that Timex has a better warranty.
