I don't have a link, but I beleive it was New York City, that ordered some pencils for the students Anti Drug Program. They had printed on them "Don't do drugs" . However as the kids sharpened them, the word DON"T ended up in the pencil sharpener. Doh.

Probably as serious as London 2012, which seems to have some fixation with Lisa Simpson being naughty.

Probably the worst waste of millions of dollars ever. Wish I got the contract to design that...

I've always thought the Saturn logo particularly well-designed as it symbolizes both the rings of Saturn and a stylized cursive letter "S." It's easier to see here in this black and white version than it is in the more usual red.

I take it all with a pinch of salt, of course, though I did read a rather disturbing article about Camel cigarettes' use of subliminal sexual images cleverly masked within their advertising campaigns during the 60s.

They quoted the retired ad executive as saying it's absolutely rife within the industry, though more covertly than their former methods used by Camel.
Take Pauls Avatar for eg..

I always thought the Saturn logo looked like a "&"

Regarding Camel cigarettes and Joe the Camel, check this out http://www.snopes.com/business/hidden/camel.asp -- it's pretty hard to look at Joe the Camel and not see that it's intentionally drawn to resemble a penis.

I just don't see it, and I have a pretty vivid imagination

That's like totally grasping at straws...

Apparently they don't like hotlinking their images

But click on the camel cigarette pack, and then they drew a person on it to show how... there is a naked guy on the camel.

Sheesh, that's pretty far out. And if he's got an erection, I'm not impressed.

Well, you probably laugh at the statue of David, too.
