Tudor military-issued Pelagos FXD

I’ve seen a model of the Pelagos FXD that’s only issued to the MN. 2 lines of text and just the simple engraving on back. Anyone have any details on how folks are getting these? Are they sold at a PX, ordered in bulk by MN then distributed….something else?

Thank you!

I saw one for sale on Chrono24 a few weeks back, but was either sold or taken down after 2 days. There was no price just "inquire" about pricing.

These were only issued to certain military personnel in France. I think they were all issued already, but maybe I am mistaken. They carry an identification number on the back

Apparently only 50 were issued + 15 LHD.

Yea, they are still going for about 30k from what I understand. I'll save 25k for a few lines of text and a case back.

You could put up a picture to liven up the thread.

If they are issued, are they not owned by the Italian navy? How do you buy one that isn’t stolen?

I believe it was in conjunction with the marine nationale which is French Navy.

Here are the pictures. The main differences are:

1) Two-line dial on the "military issued" version vs. the four-line dial on the civilian version
2) Case back on the "military issued" version has a single "M.N.21" stamp vs a more cluttered one on the civilian version
3) "Military issued" version comes with multiple technical diving straps

Are you sure they offered you a milspec version (see pictures below)? I was under the impression that Tudor only issued those (75 in total, including 15 LHD) to Commando Hubert (special forces of the French Navy/Marine Nationale) personnel.

I think he means he was offered one secondary. At retail I’m sure he would be showing you his wrist!

That dial looks so much better than the civilian FXD. Same with the 14060 sub two line. It just looks less cluttered. Why the hell Rolex feels like they have to publish a damn novel on the dial about a superlative chronometer is beyond me.

I agree. Rolex could have easily moved the unnecessary text from the dial onto the case back instead.
