Hobbies And/ OR Collecting
Besides watches, do you have any hobbies or other collecting interests which you spend time at and enjoy. I'll start off, I collect United States coins and specialize in early american copper. I collect one cent(Large Cents)coins from 1793 to 1857; one half cents from 1793 to 1857 and also enjoy Bust Half Dimes(made of silver) from 1829 to 1837.
So what is/are your enjoyments???

Coins and bears for the boy. Mostly coin sets from his birthyear but I also collect silver eagles and britannias and did colelct gold sovs before recession bah!
Now I'm collecting toys for him. Get ready for a rant. I thought about buying some Star Wars figures for when he gets older but the number of ranges is crazy. Therefore I elected The Clone Wars figures as these are a new range (autumn/fall 2008) but they are already in wave 6 and figures from Wave 1 and 2 are almost impossible to find in toy stores. Ebay and collectors have led to stock being snapped up and inflated prices. I'm sure I will enjoy tracking them down though when I have a bit more money! I'm also buying the new soldier toys that have just come out in the UK...he has three so far, a Marine and Infantryman in desert camo and an Armoured Infantryman in jungle camo. I'll buy him some more next month. What do I collect? I used to collect comics and sci fi memorabilia but that is either sold or stuck in the attic. Now I buy cookbooks. I also have quite a few harmonicas but do I collect them? Is it a collection? I'm not sure! J |

Bruises and emotional scars...
Sorry just got off the phone with my wife, forgive me. I've been collecting wine for about 20 years, mostly Italian Nebbiolo's from Piedmont, some Bordeaux's and a strong contingent from California, Pinot's and Cabs some Chardonnay’s but I'm not a fan of secondary fermentation so I stick with those wines that have no, or limited ML treatment. Some standouts would Gaja verticals from 1982 to present, Veorzio Barolo Magnums 1997 & 1999, Phelps & Etude from 1994 to present, Diamond Creek for most of the 80's & 90's, two bottles of Screaming Eagle 1998,

Apart from Watches, pens!
In particular fountain pens from the 1920's and Parker Duofolds to be even more specific! Also Old books, especially from the 19th century transendentalist movement and Thoreau in particular! |

Things that go bang...you know, but we can't discuss it here. And mountain biking.
Does yelling at my kids count? Or badgering my wife for more......?

A decent fountain pen collection, and a dozen or so pieces of rare artwork My only real hobby is photography! Oh and traveling. And eating. |
