OP 41 vs Explorer 214270

Hello All,

Has anyone held the new Oyster perpetual 41 next to the previous generation Explorer? The last gen Explorer was 39m and after watching some YT vids it seem as though the OP41 is smaller than 41m.

Does the OP41 feel better than the old Exp1? I would love to see any photos of them next to each other!

I guess the case dimensions are pretty much the same. Op 41 has a 21 mm lug widthwhich adds some size thus I believe it wears larger than exp.

Explorer has the double lock clasp and op has the newer movement with 70 hr power.
reserve.

Op 41 at retail probably better buy if u dont value the explorer history etc..

I own the Explorer.

On wrist, OP has a bit more presence if I recall (tried one on at local grey). Size wasn’t an issue on 41. Dimensions also a bit better on OP, but dial of Explorer wins all day every day for me.

I always loved the Explorer. Only watch I really need at this point. Otherwise, I’d say new OPs are great watches.

Not a bad decision to be made here.
