40 minutes on the wrist

Bought this over lunch. I’m a convert! Spectacular watch, absolutely floored by the quality to cost ratio—it’s into seiko territory, honestly!

A word on the rivets: I like them! Remind me of the old bracelet pattern stamped into the clasps of 5-digit subs and GMTs. It’s … a postmodern watch—not a nostalgic watch, not a reproduction or tribute. Suits the times very, very well.

Gotta run, haircut at 14:00!

Congrats. Uncle Seiko sells half links if you need one. That seems to be the other common bracelet complaint.

Picked up a navy as soon as it was released, and it happened to be my first watch ever. My collection now consists of six watches, yet I still often reach for the BB58. Pictures never due justice to the hue of blue. Great watch.

I am always interested in the 935 sliver version, but not "interested enough" to actually pull the trigger.

Saw it in the case. Not a colorway that works well for me and I was worried about not knowing — at all — how it would patina. Silver in general is a metal that I try to avoid because of all the care needed?

A lot of people rave about this watch, so I will give you all the benefit of the doubt and declare it great value. I just don’t care for snowflake hands, and the size appears too small for my 7.5” wrist. Great specs though. Build quality is solid. Time will tell regarding their movements, but I would assume they will be bulletproof.
